True Godly Love
I've never been married before yet in my heart, I have proposed.
I dove into love blindly, my eyes sealed tightly, closed.
I've opened my heart expeditiously for women I thought true.
I refuse to let that hinder me from seeking love in you.
I do so without trepidation, no fear or apprehension.
No second thoughts or being overwought by people's admonitions.
What I won't do is rush it, I really want to get to know you,
You will get to know me just as well, through all the love I'll show you.
I've been in Love's burning fire and came out without a scar,
I've also been covered in ash, from being left alone to char.
But all those times I trusted and though you may be amazed,
I look back and find quite often, I'm responsible for the blaze.
I once gave up on Love, for a few years in my life.
No more wanting true love, from a lawfully wedded wife.
Though I came out uninjured, numb throughout my soul,
The nothingness, left me depressed, I treated others cold.
That time I spent entrapped in nothing, truly set me straight.
I wondered what I'd missed, while eating from the empty plate..
Now that I'm back brimming with Love, I share when I am led.
And make sure I'm not being directed by what other people have said.
Not ushered by what others have done but keeping those lessons near.
Not using them to judge but as recognition when they appear.
God blessed us all with intuition, which we often times ignore,
Our flesh begins to win and earthly desires we explore.
Yet if we do find something good, something utterly unique.
We must be sure to evaluate if its the thing we truly seek.
For everything that glitters isn't gold, this much we know.
So many people masquerade, take time and watch the show.
And once the magic disappears and you are left with just the man,
You realize he's not what you thought, it was all just slight of hand.
" For he that findeth a wife, findeth a good thing" this is true.
God did not say "Go find a man" He'll send that man to you.
Just get your house in order, He's knows whats in your heart.
He promises to grant your prayers, your wishes He'll impart.
Believe He's already done it and it most certainly will come true.
Where two or three are gathered, He said He'd be there too!
So you have prayed, I have prayed, the two of us combined,
Means God will come, since we have called and He always comes on time!!
