MY LOVE
My love is unimaginable; the stuff that makes dreams,
a myth like a unicorn for it rarely is seen.
Pure and delightful, as a snowflake on the tongue,
Rapture, true bliss, full of passion and fun.
Playful and untainted like an innocent child,
Yet it’s seductive, tempting and amazingly wild.
Desire and fire, pleasurable pain and the shivers,
The answer to life’s mysteries is what my love delivers.
The honesty, compassion, the joy and the sharing,
You’ll find others lacking if you start to comparing.
It’s glaring, the difference, right in front of your eyes,
When you first feel my love but you’re used to the lies.
A surprise, most delicious, the most decadent treat,
When my love is on the menu and it’s all-you-can-eat.
I regret to inform you, I have but one love to live,
The greatest of gifts yet not mines to give.
Taken by another yet sadly unwanted,
Misused and abused yet rarely is flaunted.
Undaunted by pain I press on, yes, the “Soldier”,
One love for one woman and my task is to hold her.
Bolder I grow, unrestrained by the pain,
Beaten and battered again and again.
Untamed and unbridled, my love will endure,
Depressed and lovesick and I pray you have the cure.
