     Edgar, Dear Edgar
    do you sleep as soundly as she.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    awaken and see, what legacy you left this world.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    resting there next to Virginia E.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    can the raven knock on thee.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    speak of hardship I'll listen through time.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    can your heart still rhyme.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    oh my heart aches for you Uncle of mine.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    your line did prevail.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    can you hear your dead speak.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    you set this nephew square upon his feet.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    with your quill and ink used by my hand.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    did writting come easy as it does for me.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    rest with the knowledge your family has pride.

    Edgar, Dear Edgar
    some of your ancestors continue to rhyme.

    what a great way to tie together family poetry impact into a very well written piece! ha =) you should read the book the pale blue eye- i loves it and edgar himself is the character it follows very good read i hope you check out some of my poems i would love for you to
