emptiness

    emptiness

somewhere inside between my lungs and heart

exists a big black empty hole, a missing part

I do not know what is supposed to be there

until most recently I didn’t even really care

now I feel emptiness inside beside my heart

it is not comfortable and so I must start

to find in this universe that missing part.

they say it’s God you miss, he can fill the hole

I am not familiar with this filling God

I do not know where to search or what to find

I remain empty and afraid of being emptier

they say ask and He will come to fill you up

I ask, but the emptiness remains

filled only by a vague hope…
