I Have Tried and Tried
During my life I have experienced,Woe upon woe.
I was run-over by a car,
I became addicted to recreational drugs,
I have been to Hell and back.
Inasmuch as many could imagine,
But I emerged victorious,
Now the powers that be attack me,
And yet I retaliate with venomous words,
They still continue thier onslaught.
I become weary at this constant backbiting,
Meant to injure this being which I inhabit,
Noone understands me, how could they,
I barely believe it myself.
Yet I know it is true.
I have worked in some of the finest resteraunts,
They are there.
I seek solitude in the mountains,
They are there.
Drugs used to be my escape...
Now I know they're demons of the highest order.
Evil and wicked notorious in their actions,
They choose to harm and not heal.
Whereas others see them as commonplace,
I see them as adversaries bent on my demise.
This will end with the spiritual death of evil,
And all its minions, they are difficult to expose,
Alas and alac I have sighed,
All of my compatriots have died,
I have not though I have tried and tried.
