im sick

Im sick of having to fake and I hate you for all that you take

You don’t ask and you don’t give, you don’t deserve to live

I know that sounds mean but you’re not caught in-between

I know this is just another one of my spells, but it feels like im going through 7 different hells

You don’t understand cuz your cant comprehend, that’s cuz you’ve never had a damn thing to defend

I want every memory of you gone; when that happens I can see a new dawn

I regret everything about us; I don’t care how much you fuss

When it comes to that I know I lied, but what do you expect from someone not on your side?

I took all my love and I turned it into hate, I’ll do what I can to erase you from my slate

This didn’t turn out how it was supposed to, but then again it is me and you

I just quit and gave up my fight, im sick of living with no light

Living if you can call it that, life with you is like a negative stat

You don’t really care so stop pretending, picking him over me is so condescending

I know im late but I finally got mad, then again ive always been late on the newest fad

I don’t know what im doing now looking for a career, everything im doing is so we wouldn’t have to fear

Yea I saw us going all the way, but that idea doesn’t want to play

I will figure things out like I always do, but now it has to be without you…

You've certainly told a story here but hate is so strong. I have heard the opposite of love is need, not hate. the poem is a testament to neediness but has a nice rhythm and presents good images. My test for a great poem is that if you believe it's true whether it is or not your reading something by a good poet. keep them coming.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
