Do you remember the time when the Jackson 5

Took the world by storm

Forever changing Pop culture

It started with ABC..easy as 1, 2,3

A simple rhyme for a not so simple time

When walls of race became common place

But with a smile and grace he simply said

You made me what I am

What more can I give

What will it take

This time around

To satisfy you

Whatever happens this time around

Remember I’ll always be there

You can cry on my shoulder whenever you are speechless

I just can’t stop loving you

You are my life and I will always be Mama’s Pearl

Whatever happens just remember I’ll come home to you

The wings of my love will forever embrace your dignity and grace

If forever came today will you walk with me

As I approach my bridge over troubled waters

And remember the time you told me

You never can say goodbye

I’m coming home and heaven can’t wait

This time around

My passing isn’t in vein because I was taught

As I leave this world I will be welcomed at heaven’s gate

You may be speechless and even cry

But remember we all must die

It all ends and begins with love

The eternal light

That shines from above

CMarsh 09/22/2009: Paige it's funny you say that because I was working on a poem for him because his birthday was approaching and would have been 50. After his passing I changed everything to honor him and his music.
