PRAYER WARRIOR

Poem Commentary

God gave me this poem for a woman I hardly knew. now she is a good friend who has prayed for and with me many times since then and was stunned when I gave her this poem. At the time I had even spelled her name wrong. She is  the greatest prayer warrior and intercessory prayer I have ever known. i had actually written her name  here and thought better of it so I deleted it.

PRAYER WARRIOR

PRAYER WARRIOR

The first time I called, you pretended not to hear
But I can speak in thunderous tones
Or whisper in your ear

I can swell the waters or make the mountains slide
You've received your mission
From me you cannot hide

They will come to you my child, with all their wants and fears
Your task will be  to pray for the them
Through the days and nights and years

For you there will be little rest, little time to play
You'll know the joys and sorrows
Because you've been charged to pray.

To the one  who prays for us
Even when we can't pray for ourselves.

This is most impressive. I LOVE the first stanza, it flows perfectly and is so true! Prayer flows from faith as well as stands under faith, upholding our belief. Wonderful!

I don't know what I would do without my prayer warriors.

I needed to read this especially this morning because I got a forward email that talked of a 5 yr old boy who needs a miracle. Meantime, he is not expected to see Christmas and his wish is to receive Christmas cards.....imagine what a special soul? But, I am asking your intercession of prayers for Noah because I bellieve in miracles and the writer of this poem is surely an angel carrying out special missions here on earth. Thank you....and his name is Noah and help me lift him and pray for a miracle.

I will certainly lift this child in prayer and will make sure that he gets Christmas cards.

A lovely tribute to a casual acquaintance that because of your words was drawn to you and became friend.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
