    Recovery
                                        I thought I had loved before.
                                        Like a chaotic wave
                                        it hit me...
                                        I had not!
                                        It was the dream of love.
                                        Yearning.
                                        Starving.
                                        Feeding myself,
                                        for I felt I would die
                                        if I did not love.
                                        and die I did for years.
                                        Decades.
                                        Fooling myself.
                                        Let suffering be
                                        my lover,
                                        my demon,
                                        my hell.
                                        Loving you
                                        is the phenomenon
                                        that tore my eyes open.
                                        I had never loved before.
                                        I had only touched
                                        a dream.
                                        You are not a dream.
                                        You are the the first
                                        that I have ever
                                        loved.
