    Poem Commentary

I would know. I am sixteen and I never take one single time that I drive for granted. Please dont be the one that takes driving to be a joke.

    sixteen

Sixteen is a very big milestone
    You can become independent
You can learn how to drive
But it can also be a big caution

    When you are driving
You have to be extra careful
And listen harder than you ever listened before
Because one false move could be your last

    Dont make that dumb mistake
    And make driving a joke
When you make that wrong judgement
Everything could change in a heartbeat

    Just be extra cautious
    Thats all I ever ask
    Just because you dont care
    Someone might have to pay

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
