    spirits & ghosts

    the spirits of smiles
    dance in my eyes
    there to remind
    its been along time


    i know they are there
    they move and they sing
    im fully aware
    they're transcending me


    the spirits of laughs
    dance in my head
    wishing they could
    chase away all the dread


    they know i am here
    but try as they might
    they dont understand
    this terrible fight


    the spirit of joy
    moves within me
    trying to deploy
    through any opening


    wishing it could
    move back into my life
    knowing it should
    help me to fight


    the ghosts of the frowns
    have invaded my mouth
    seems like they want...
    to just hang around


    killing my smile
    and grabbing ahold
    forcing me to...
    keep my mouth closed


    the ghosts of my screams
    have taken up home
    deep in my mind
    they continue to grow


    silencing my laugh
    and echoing through
    they rip through my head
    destroying my mood


    the ghosts of my tears
    are controlling my eyes
    blurring my thoughts
    and making me blind


    killing my joy
    they continue to flow
    without any concern
    of dashing my hope

    a very solid train of thought seemed to voice each line as the poem slowely moved along nice read
