    the pitted parts

    The Pitted Parts

the tattered hearts of my childern
on the sidewalk for all to see
    the tinseled,brilliant dreams
    clad in ugly feelings
    stalk each nights dreams.

    striving to regroup their
    loves and lives
    stressful moments popping out

not that they mean to be
    the four pitted ones "shout."

    may the pitts impart
    a new recognition of life
