    The Same Amongst Strangers

I see the rush of fire in your eyes
I see the pirate within your soul
    doesn't matter what the cause
The poetic heart is in control

    Rusty beams support the balance
    unpolished waves blitz the shore
yet gleaming rays make out the beauty
and I can see there's something more

    The mix of swirling colors
    melting in your mind
let it pass, the venom of dirty grime
for they are not your brothers

    Emancipate your heart
don't let the awful pains devour
    cut the chains
    let them pass like waves
Do not let your mood go sour

    An aura for your halo
    written simply in
    paper for your wings
    escaping by the wind
    what's written on your heart
    I have read on mine
It's why I see your essence
    Your potential over time.

    You are beyond your years
    That's easy to concede
    your eyes possess a balance
the me I know you read
isn't what I portray to others
what I want them to percieve.

    Wise and knowing eyes,
forgave the darkness in my soul
looked passed and loved me whole.

It's how I recognized your soul
    without you saying a word
We are the same amongst strangers
    that's why comfort we behold.
    Another heart beating in time
to a beat that doesn't rhyme
    we don't match the rhythm
it's why others just can't fathom.
