    My Immortal Consequence

I want to go where saints and angels congregate.

I want to touch the spiritual cloth of Heaven.
I want to gaze upon the eyes of True Love,
and be held by the hands that sculpted from dust.
I want to inhale the scent of untainted water,
    and taste it's nourishing innocence.
I want to embrace the afterglow of my immortal consequence.

And I want to feel upon my brow healing gentle mercy.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
