    Trail

    Memories on told

    Times of old

    The old times

    Along with one mind

    Things brought yup

    Things needed to be kept hidden

    Is it time to rethink things

    The flames consume us

    Till the fire can be controlled

    The fire fighters fight the flames

    Trying to save me

    From the flames consuming

    The fire rages on and on

    Will they ever calm

    When will the demons go away

    The angels of hell

    The darkness dwells

    The skies turning black with the smoke

    Flames burning higher and higher

    Will this trial last forever

    All I ask is for the fire to turn to ice

    The ice frozen in time

    Lowering the temperature

    Freezing a heart broken and burned.

    I love this poem. While it is very sad there is something about it that creates a sense of purging to make way for the new times.

    "a heart broken and burned." one of the most poetically sad lines I have read in a long time. Simply beautiful!
