3 unguided steps
3 unguided steps

-
Was it just a dream?
I did see them with two eyes
Three unguided steps
After then, falling gently down
-
I watched several attempts
Of standing straight and falling down
A drunkard's tap dance to and fro
Then laughing like a clown
-
Three steps to and then three steps to turn around
Then look back and say ''Dad, look what I have done...''
Grinning widely and then clapping your hands
As you seem to say, ''I can walk now, i can turn around!''
-
''Stop worrying, Dad...I'll soon be fine...
My legs and hips are stronger, they can now hold me up!
Your prayers' been answered, this day of blessing has come..
Please Dad, please stop crying now...''
Then you come near, reaching my face and hands
You comfort me with your giggles in baby steps you come
You seem to say with your eyes,
''Daddy, please guide me now...
These steps will be stronger with your love and Mom's.''
