Ninth
-
-
You are so beautiful
Perhaps even more today
A disturbed sleep began a cry
Only be silenced when I arrive
-
I still carry you like before
Only not as much as I want to
You grunt in request to be put down
To watch funny ads with funny sounds
-
A close and open master now
Eyes observe whatever is done
Then mimic like it's all fun
Never do I know how you learned to clap hands
-
Roll and twist to move about
Trying to crawl and little push-ups!
Play and enjoy punching out
Little toys to chew and stuffed
-
You grew longer now
Heavier, yet not less fragile
Stay like this a little longer
Stay as a baby, a little while
-
A little more of a pungent scent
Soiled diapers, heavier than its meant
Like perfume that I miss every minute
Something I go by when I am at work
-
Brushed little gums of pinkish red
Able now to do little chews of baby biscuits
I love how you try everything to taste
Then frown or be wide-eyed enjoying with haste
-
Twice you are to be bathed
Vitamins you giggle as you intake
Liquid medicines for little temperaments
Never wondering how we've become worrysome parents
-
Over the pale light, you sleep tonight
I wish I could brush your hair with my hands
I wish I could lay beside you now
Rather, I wish to be beside you forever somehow.
