Black October

Black October

So happy to see you are

doing so well….

I know you still wish me the same

however you never shed a tear.

Maybe it’s that fearful catatonia

that sends you on your hopeful plight;

spiraling downward from your so-called Ivory Tower.

Just stay

one step behind.

But I whisper voices of the past.

(the) dividing mark in the sand

cause,

living in today

is like chewing broken glass…

(I) Rather sleep in black tomorrow (and)

live in the grip of dark October.

Forget last month’s scarlet letter,

set fire to the fibers,

let those ashes turn back to rain,

never look back again..

Won’t be alone on this

4 block stepping stone.

This conflict between you and me

needs to end.

I can’t see past those red doors

that were shut when we split those ties.

But,

I hope to see you off to that distant shore anyway.

From you I stay two steps

ahead.

(I)Rather sleep in black tomorrow (and)

live in the grip of dark anger.

It got me this far and better.

Set fire to this grudge and

let these ashes turn back to rain

never look back again..

Won’t be alone on this

4 block stepping stone.

Maybe you can help if you can.

Revive this state of catatonia;

open the flood gate of tears

to wash up to an Eternal

 rising sun,

 so I wont die

by your own sun burnt side.

SELF-destruct on this third step I pass-over you.

Legion’ whispers voices of the past,

that makes

dividing marks in the sand

cause,

living in today

is washing your hands with this broken glass.

And I understand…

(You) Rather sleep in black tomorrow (and)

die in the grip of a smoking pistol.

Don’t let the bullet shatter

what you still have to give

my friend.

Let the bad blood turn to rain

never look back again..

wont be alone during this

4 block stepping stone.

Pray and help me understand….
