The Glass Keep
The Glass Keep
Home away from a broken home
Self- destruct and reassemble alone.
Reconstruct in your eyes,
like mirrors in the sand.
Rose red in the summer.
Snow white in the winter.
You were the eternal grace-
from this wasteland.
I wanna sleep away (hundred years)….
I wanna sleep away (hundred years)….
I wanna sleep away with you
My perfect getaway….
Want to sleep forever.
Why can’t we all sleep away?
Want to sleep forever
Why can’t we all sleep away?
To a perfect getaway….
Caught a caravan to your distant haven,
to the edge of your lips,
to taste your sweet poison.
The perfect getaway
It’s clear to me now like the glass tomb you keep.
Seeing you but forever can’t touch you
or must I die if I do.
Like the apples you ate
and the poison I drank.
Want to sleep forever
Why can’t we all sleep away?
Want to sleep forever
Why can’t we all sleep away?
The perfect getaway….
Now I look into your
distant eyes,
you lay there ascended
beautiful and cold.
Caught a brief reflection
of my face in your eyes.
Now I retreat into your sanctum.
Shrouded by the same thorns
I’ve created from your spool
Forever protected!
Forever protected!
Far away from here.
(And) wanna sleep away (hundred years)
I wanna sleep away (hundred years)
I wanna sleep away with you
My perfect getaway.
Fucking slip away in this glass hide away
Sleep Away….
