Dearest poison

Dearest poison

I seek the poison when the intoxication sets in
and still I dare to say our silence is the holiest;
What do we want deep within?
The solitude of a weaker light as our nest?

The silence, such a polite host for our kisses
doesn't sound, with others, as true and pure;
I understand now this was no crisis,
love can't happen if the heart is immature.

The title alone is amazing, then I read the words that follow and it really enhances the meaning. I love this concept, very nice.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
