the deadly kiss from a cruel sun
The deadly kiss from a cruel sun
punishes us, in a downward spiral
into the cold breath of a loaded gun
like we're criminals waiting for a trial
Meaningless and depthless, I keep going on
making up excuses for failures, losses and gains
wasting words that are not even my own
(silence will hopefully be all that remains)
Things I used to dream about seem literal now
as voices long forgotten seem to call my name
I hope we never try to break this vow -
we might as well believe it is all just a game
punishes us, in a downward spiral
into the cold breath of a loaded gun
like we're criminals waiting for a trial
Meaningless and depthless, I keep going on
making up excuses for failures, losses and gains
wasting words that are not even my own
(silence will hopefully be all that remains)
Things I used to dream about seem literal now
as voices long forgotten seem to call my name
I hope we never try to break this vow -
we might as well believe it is all just a game
