Don't let go
I scream at youand you scream at me
we are so unaware of what lies between
she sees the fighting
she hears the words
without understanding she knows and it hurts
you leave out angry
she stays inside
wishing and hoping that somehow to get by
so much has happened
so much has gone wrong
now this house is no longer a home
and in all the madness you fade to the blackness
not seeing or hearing the tears as she crys
not out of anger
not out of greed
but out of love
and that which they need
a prayer in the darkness
a wish to the stars
a dream that does linger
and carries them on
a hope that is wounded but still will not die
a faith that is frail but will let you by
a grace ever present a healer to mend
that which is broken and bleeding from within
a family reunited
a love reinstate
a forgiveness is given and forgives their mistake
a eye with the tear stains begins to dry
a fear is released as stress gives a sigh
a joy is rewarded reviving their bond that will carry
them safely until they are where they belong
