    Growing up
    The past has always held her back
    Afraid to let go of what she doesnt know
    But this girl is ready to pack up and move on
    Its time that she start to grow and let go

    Everyone tells her she will be okay
    There is nothing to be afraid of you see
    Let the future guide you it will be alright
    Trust your heart and listen to your head

    She is a girl who’s past has made her strong
    It wasnt the best and she isnt proud
    Letting go is hard and Change is scary
    This girl just wants to keep her feet on the ground

    Time to spread your wings and fly
    The past cant hold you back anymore.

    I have to agree with PA on this one. It has good potential but its present stucture is weakened by 2 conflicting statements.

    nice job.It is something that everyone has to face at one point in their life.My past isnt what I wish it was but I am now away at college and finally on my own.Really great poem
