American soldiers

    American soldiers

Step by step and march by march

    We are soldiers.

    Protecting the innocents

    Defending the world

    Some respect and others don't

We go out and defend either way

We don't get to call in sick

We work through pain and hurt

Months and years spent away from home

Trying the best we can to be strong

    It's a choice we choose

    To be the soldiers

The protectors of what we love

Defenders of those who need us

    It's a life of struggles

    But knowing our causes,

    Its worth everything

    We are the American Soldiers.

Respect and admiration to all those who are serving, have served or will serve. Few have the courage and honor these days to carry the burden.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
