nervous

<>

self portrait said nervous crisis
as i slam my eyes shut
while already sitting in the dark

with even thicker thoughts
i rub my hands and bump fists
with my demon dreams

screaming never felt so loud
but silent as i stretch my mouth
              south
straight down to the bottom
of this burning belly

the smoke disguises the rain
but never removes the pain
in my late show of unfun

i only meant to make you smile
but, not quite like mine

I like . ! - Dark, yet playful, and a bit whimsical - Much Peace

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
