    Poem Commentary

    i have been writing, but, not as much as i would like. i have some more poems to add shortly. it is good to see that so many poets are still here, writing their lives and scribing those specific hours that moved them the most. feels good to be back.

    the ride

    i don't pretend to know
    what life is all about
    most of the time, i enjoy the surprise
    like a new amusement ride
    you hop on
    and you hope that it makes you scream
    you hope that it makes you laugh
    you hope that it makes you cry
    and throw your hands up high

    however

    in the blink of our widened eyes
    the real surprise
    is how short the ride really is

    so hop on
    and scream
    and laugh
    and cry
    and throw your hands up high

    A statement and declaration all in one....I smiled reading this and wanted to shout...."OK I GET IT"....Lol....reminds me of moments when in the summer you run through the sprinklers or just dance in the rain.....nice write my friend....Cher
