    OUR HEARTS PRIORITY

     A newborn babies smile after it's first minutes of life!!
    The words "I love you" from the one "you love" and never thought you'd see again....
    Winning the lottery!!!
    An eclipse!!
    Your first love or "second chance" at love...
    A once in a lifetime award of accomplishment!!
    Peace of mind and "security of heart" because of the one that loves you..

    All these things we hold dear to our heart, because usually they come but once every now and then..
    Yet when they  come it feels as if you'd win again  and again..
    The things that we "most value" are composed of which we are inside!!
    There's no way to camouflage it or to confess it's only pride!
    What we hold as "priority in our hearts" and in our minds,
    Only goes to show us that we won't exchange what we think we'll find!!
    If we can hold within our hearts and hands these things that are God-like to us,
    We'd get along better with others and in our transparencies wouldn't kick up such a fuss!!
    Lets stop denying what we know we need, to be the person we're meant to be..
    If more love and kindness, loyalty and trust is what makes us tick!
    Then wait for the right person,
    And our hearts will finally see..
    Settling for less will only get you in big trouble... eventually..

    Good modern poem about love. Would like to see more description of touch, smell, taste etc. Wonderful piece though. Write on.....

    see? these are the kinds of feelings i try to convey in my own poems! that kind of innate common sense. this poem is like those thoughts you get when you're the only one awake in the whole house or on that red-eye flight across country... yeah, you definitely have skills. keep at it because you got something to say and we need to hear it... because they're the same things we want to say ourselves!

    Thank you sir I appreciate your opinion it is valueable to me I'm always trying to learn better how to reach and express emotion, grief, saddness, heartache,disappointment,pain, and betrayal of the heart and soul, so I listen carefully to all that speak on any writings of mine, your a fantastic writer yourself don't forget that, sincerely WARSAW
