    A place I've been before

    A place I've been before
There was a place I've been before
    long long ago
    A place of familiar fantasies
    Of unicorns and fairies
    Long long ago

A time when dreams were realities
    And realities were indeed dreams
    Long long ago

Somewhere few hearts ever dare trod
    long long ago
A place I may never find again
    Tho I remember it well

For there's a special path of the spirit
That no flesh can ever dwell
    So long long ago

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
