Blue waters ripple pushed by the wind
thoughts from the mind stir the soul within
 Sunlight streaks down a golden beam to grace
reflections off the water touches my face
 As I sit and wonder why did it have to be
why couldn't I see, why was it me
 What did I do, what have I done
actions unkown consequences begun
 You heard from another, words I've not spoken
peices in your hands of a love now broken
 What we once shared you have cast aside
slamming the doors to where I did reside
 One by one feelings released
forced to leave, pushed away
you've done too much now only memories remain
 Feet in the sand salted breeze to taste
adrift in my mind, reflected on my face
 You're no longer needed, not part of my life
consider the lesson learned
this is the last time that I get burned
 Cold wind blowing, chill down my spine
the memory of what was is all thats left behind
