    RUNNING

    I LIKE TO RUN
    ESPECIALLY IN THE SUN
    I THINK IT'S FUN
    SOME RACES I'VE WON
    THEN WHEN I AM DONE
I HAVE TO DRINK A TON

    YOU MAY THINK IT DUMB
HA - YOUR BRAIN IS NUMB
I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, OH CHUM
    IT'S BEETTERN'N DRINKIN' RUM
WHEN I DO IT I'M NOT GLUM
    THAT'S MY AXIOM

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
