THANKS

Thanks

The goodness of God is greater than
The most benevolent dreams of man
He blesses all, the good, the bad
He's blessed me greatly since I was a lad

He's given me a wonderful life
Four fine boys and a magnificent wife
I've got so much to be thankful for
And I know He still will give me more

I've the gift of music to praise his name
But not to bring me fortune or fame
Wisdom and intelligence are also mine
Bestowed on me with love divine

Exciting times have come my way
Even when Him I did not obey
And broke his commandments, one by one
Yet still He loves me like the prodigal son

Throughout my life I've had much joy
And if I could the world's tongues employ
They could never thank him enough for me
For the blessings He's given, so rich and free

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
