Poem Commentary

I don't know where this came from.

The Perfect Stranger

My heart’s breaking

With every step your taking

Away from me.

I wanna scream, I wanna yell

But how do I tell,

a perfect stranger that I care?!

I’m at a loss for words,

I can’t explain how much this hurts.

I see you making friends,

I know a heart always mends.

And despite my soul being in debris,

I ‘m happy you’re forgetting me.

Yeah, I'm going through this RIGHT NOW, a guy I've NEVER met in reality... pathetic, I know.. But whatever, I wish him well. This is a great poem I love the flow, Great wording. My favorite line(s) are : "I know a heart always mends. And despite my soul being in debris,I‘m happy you’re forgetting me." Great write thanks for sharing this. All the best -Marion-

oh this is sadenning. Yet still a fantastically structured write

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
