Where were you when the world was rapped and her innocence lost,
And 3,497 lives were lost in vain as the cost,
Millions upon millions of souls frozen in awe,
Shocked to their core by the terror and destruction of what they saw.

Where were you when the president spoke,
And a once sleeping giant awoke,
So many souls crying in tears,
Terror and agony of the day became our worst fear.

Where were you when the blood of sin became our only desire,
And vengeance for our fallen love one’s became our inner fire,
When the world filled with oceans of hate,
How can we ever forget this date?

Where were you when  you heard his name,
And all the world bowed their heads in shame,
To know that this sin was one of man,
Our own destruction was his only plan.

Where were you when no more tears could be found,
For they all dried up in a desert of sand and were buried underground,
For all those who lost their love ones to a stolen heart,
The eternal candle of their souls shall never depart.
