    Another Year

    It's just another year
    Just another winter
    Watching cards go back and forth
    Feeling like a chained sprinter

    It's just another year
    Just another spring
    Watching everyone laugh
    Everyone else sing

    It's just another year
    Just another summer
    Watching couples everywhere
    Everywhere and me the saddest hummer

    It's just another year
    Just another autumn
    Watching people file in two-by-two
    Two-by-two and then one at the bottom

    It's just another year
    Just another winter. . .

    Well written and I like your view on the ending and the beggining of another year. For me I view every year like it's my last it makes every moment more important.
