blurred clarity

    blurred clarity

The thickness of the fog in confusing,
I can't seem to find my way.
    I'm running in circles,
trying to survive just one more day

The moon casts a ring of eerie glow,
illuminating only what I can see.
But it is what is not in my vision,
that I wish would let me be.

Who or whatever it is is close,
I can almost hear it's breath.
luminesent sulfurous ribbons of it's exhalation surround me.
the only feeling is that of death.

    I can do nothing more.
    I can run no longer.
    It's time to turn,
    and face the monster.

    trying now to see
what I've escaped my whole life.
all that's there is a reflection.
    realization cut's like a knife.

    my emotions and deeds
    are plain to see
    in the large sized mirror
    right in front of me.

Truth is cruel. It's amazing to realize what we've been afraid of our whole lives is the self but very understandable as there are always portions of the self that we all try so hard to avoid. Fantastic keep it up.

A reflection of what to see, leaves a question within to ask Am I no longer me to shame thee! Now I gotta go shave Thanks for this added insight!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
