Clouds
Look at the clouds of rain up high
It’s good, you see, for we’d be dry
Whenever you see clouds of gray
Just know that rain is on its way.
Soft rains make seeds to sprout anew
And then when all this rain is through
We’ll harvest all of earth’s great bounty
From farm to market and city to county!
On sunny days like cotton candy
“Cumulous” so fine and dandy,
I see a bear up in the sky,
Look down at me and give a sigh.
“Cirrus” clouds look like bed sheets
Like cotton candy stretched out and sweet
A sunny day presents itself
So fly a kite that’s on a shelf.
When “Thundercaps” warn stormy weather,
I hide beneath my pillow feathered,
Lightning flashes and resounds
Count ten seconds, “Hit the Ground!
Sometimes clouds fill up with snow
When the temperature is down real low
With nitrogen it heals the land
All of natures has a Plan.
When ground’s revived and air’s brand new
And snow and ice and rain are through,
Pastel lilacs, pink, green and blue
Brings a rainbow, promised true.
