Life Ain’t Fair!!
Life just ain’t fair.
But who promised that it would be?
Children’s maladies so indiscreet,
Leave us before they even got started.
I want answers.
But who says that answers will suffice?
Would an explanation provide comfort to the suffering
Who says with conviction, “Life just isn't nice?
I am so frustrated!
How can you stop looking at the clear blue sky
Or the Monarch butterfly
That lights so gently, then passes by?
I know life is neither fair nor just,
“It is what it is” and continues on, impervious
incapable of being affected by our objections.
Besides, tomorrow will come with or without us.
Humbly, take this moment you disdain,
This rare and irreplaceable opportunity
To let heaven’s love outshine the pain,
God's love is for eternity.
It surpasses our callous insults for the Creator’s
Seemingly slothful indifference,
And rises above our painful indignity of
Observations we cannot justify or accept.
Don’t give in to the dark side of hate,
Even when every fiber of your being can’t relate
Break through to the other side of fear and pain,
And you will be set free to truly love again.
