A Fish Out of Water
I am a fish out of water, I know not what to do;
life has been a circus since the day that I lost you.
I am not prepared for the planet that I ride,
It is snow and ice for winter and very cold outside.
A fish out of water and every gasp I take
makes my face turn blue as the water on the lake.
The bee in my bonnet is mostly caused by stress,
when I had you, life was easy, but today I am a mess.
A fish out of water, and a floppy fish I be,
‘till I find a new aquarium with pink and yellow-plastic trees.
Looking for Prince Charming, a fella just like you,
I am Cinderella; not just any prince will do.
When I find Mr. Charming who shall sweep me off my feet,
With love quite alarming, my young heart skips a beat,
He will be quite faithful and stick around like glue
I am a fish back in the water with a love that is true!
