Desperate Times
I'm living in a negative world.
At the end of days,
in these desperate times.
These ARE desperate times...
People under such pressure;
People losing their minds...
Tryin to find an escape,
Half my friends have DIED...
But I still live on
enduring the pain;
Remembering days
that were better times.
There WERE better times.
Biding my time until revolution is here
and I will gladly put my life on the line...
Yes! I would DIE if need be
for us all to be free;
And I know I am not the
only one feeling these...sentiments.
My relationship with mankind is intimate
and no machine will ever replace that.
No mistake that
in my soul I feel the beat of some other drum
At times feel so... out of unison
but never so discouraged
that I would choose to run
from destiny.
Liberty!
I'll settle for less only if
my head is severed from the rest of me...
Realize all my life
I've been waiting for a sign
No amount of wealth
could reverse the tears I've cried,
or regain for me the things I've left behind.
At the end of days,
in these desperate times.
These ARE desperate times...
People under such pressure;
People losing their minds...
Tryin to find an escape,
Half my friends have DIED...
But I still live on
enduring the pain;
Remembering days
that were better times.
There WERE better times.
Biding my time until revolution is here
and I will gladly put my life on the line...
Yes! I would DIE if need be
for us all to be free;
And I know I am not the
only one feeling these...sentiments.
My relationship with mankind is intimate
and no machine will ever replace that.
No mistake that
in my soul I feel the beat of some other drum
At times feel so... out of unison
but never so discouraged
that I would choose to run
from destiny.
Liberty!
I'll settle for less only if
my head is severed from the rest of me...
Realize all my life
I've been waiting for a sign
No amount of wealth
could reverse the tears I've cried,
or regain for me the things I've left behind.
