I Am Wind
I am Wind, a vortex in a cage.I am Wind with the strength to cause a shift.
I am Wind as you blame me,
I am your scapegoat
As you deny your own damage
And attempt to transfer it to me.
But you seem to have forgotten,
I am Wind.
I have the strength of a tornado
As I bend the bars of your prison.
Your eyes widen with the realization that I am Strength.
Panic swells in your throat as you threaten me with hell,
As you tell me I am powerless,
As you pervert your authority.
But you forget, this is hell,
And you were the demon sent to torture me.
It is here that I rebel against your threats,
Increasing my speed, forcing cracks in the bars.
I am Wind, I remember now.
You may have convinced me long ago that I am nothing
Just a pebble unable to move,
Doomed to stay within your lies.
You really thought tormenting me would be worthwhile.
Helpless against your own savage terrain,
We both know this is not a place where my Wind can remain.
My vortex grows bigger, faster, stronger,
Yet you try to tell me that I am weak, worthless, guilty.
You can only convince yourself.
I may have forgotten once that I am Wind,
But now that I am free
I will not forget again.
