Loneliness
It's Loneliness that brings me here.
Makes me seek out the surface at a time when I am determined to look anywhere but up.
It's Loneliness that holds me,
Gathers me in its arms,
Rocking me back and forth.
It was You who abused me,
Made me afraid of life
Only to seek the Loneliness of others.
It's Loneliness that loves me,
Refuses to abandon me.
Loneliness is always there for me
Even when I try to kick it away,
Even when no one else will look at me.
It was You who left me to fall into darkness,
Pushed me down into panic
Begging for the comfort of an old friend.
I kick and I scream,
I yearn for something more
But nothing can compare to the love I feel when you hold me close,
Refusing to let go,
You allow me to cry
Shelter me
Love me
No one else knows me like the Loneliness I feel.
It was Him who said
No one else will love me
Not like he does,
His sick, twisted madness.
It was Him who tried to make me
Afraid of you...
You,
Who is always present.
You,
Just begging to be loved
In the same way as I do.
Gathers me in its arms,
Rocking me back and forth.
It was You who abused me,
Made me afraid of life
Only to seek the Loneliness of others.
It's Loneliness that loves me,
Refuses to abandon me.
Loneliness is always there for me
Even when I try to kick it away,
Even when no one else will look at me.
It was You who left me to fall into darkness,
Pushed me down into panic
Begging for the comfort of an old friend.
I kick and I scream,
I yearn for something more
But nothing can compare to the love I feel when you hold me close,
Refusing to let go,
You allow me to cry
Shelter me
Love me
No one else knows me like the Loneliness I feel.
It was Him who said
No one else will love me
Not like he does,
His sick, twisted madness.
It was Him who tried to make me
Afraid of you...
You,
Who is always present.
You,
Just begging to be loved
In the same way as I do.
