I said a prayer for you today

I said a prayer for you today

We may be leagues and latitudes apart

we may be living in separate worlds

and our priorities may be different

but evidently, we share a common goal.

And that’s our prayerful assistance

to those who’re in need of our time

to pray for and offer a sacrifice for them

likewise, it’s also my prayer for you today.

As a form of presence in this connection

there’s an echo, an inner monologue

that reminds me of those people

who ask for help in prayerful occasions.

Far away in this country of immigrants

interactions are mixed with learning events

our cultural differences, signs of our riches

a great opportunity for each community.

It’s a simple gesture that I care for you

it’s a way to remember you in any way

being called to be part of your calling

my supplication to God will never fail.

Keep this always in mind my dear friend

wherever we are or whenever we can

I’ll a find a space to invoke upon Him

with a prayer that I always say every day.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
