In Dreams
In dreams, love smiled upon thee, a tender rose.
The purest test of how one grows.
With your joy I learned to live.
Through your sacrifice I learned to give.
No soul could be more radiant,
No heart more kind.
Wonderous interpretation of life sublime.
A perilous journey so easy to take,
With such promise of the love we’d make.
And when you left, with you was taken,
A piece of my spirit torn and forsken.
Yet still in dreams you’ll always be,
the rose that set my spirit free.
