Love's Kiss
Soft as petals of the rose, sweet as honey, enticing me
Your lips, call to me without a sound
I fall, like words once whispered
to settle gently on the ground.
I rest upon your shores
Looking up at you
and let your eyes move over me
guided by their motion,
like the sands moved by the sea.
Grains of sand, called by the ocean.
Other worldly, your gaze transcends ordinary life
I am no longer just a human being
I am this universe’s wife
Thrust through the rings of Saturn,
Then pushed into space,
Like a nebula’s birth,
An old soul with a young ladies face.
I dance upon the stardust
Traveling where it leads
I am reborn into a deeper part of me
Ever closer to my maker
I am lost and then I’m found
Traveling like an adventurer
Ever so far above the ground
I reach for you and catch my breath,
Was this only just a dream
Or did I wake this placid heart
From where it slept serene.
