In the Darkness
The darkness like a blanketcame into my room
It covered each peace
of furniture it consumed
Nothing left for me to see
Just my mind was running free
Every corner now a place of dread
Did some thing move
I herd a noise under my bed
Should I peep
Is it the thing that hunts my sleep
Or is it all just a dream
I hide my eyes cant you hear me scream
Under the covers I try to stay
Praying it will go away
Will some one come to my aid
Or is every one else afraid
The wind rattles on my window pane
Or is it some evil beast again
I cant take it any more
I jump out of bed and lock the door
I turn on the light now I can see
I am alone there's only me
Oh how silly can a grown woaman be
