Just a Picture
I look at the picture of you and meThe bride and the groom that we used to be
So young and in love and so far to go
So much to learn but we didn't know
We had thirty years it seems so long now
Three lovely children but one had to die
Lots of jobs and bills to pay so much debt
But its all gone away lots of food eaten and gone
Lots of washing cloths to put on
Lots of toys for our children to play
Now they have grown up and gone away.
We have had new additions over the years
As some have married and ended in tears
Six little grand kids our family has grown
Way back then who would have known
Just to young lovers all on there own
Getting together to build a new home
But just as all storys must come to an end
My story is sad because I lost my best friend
Now I'm alone with a heart full of pain
Trying my best to start over again
