The Poppies in the field
We remember them all young and old
Who fought in the wars now there body's lay cold
What a sacrifice the loss of youth not nice
They fought for truth and peace
For freedom to release the right to be
They will truly will be remembered by me
They answered the call knowing many would fall
They gave up life they left a wife
Little ones without dads it make me sad
Mothers morn for there sons still there little ones
Hearts broken lives torn apart why did this war start
Evil men cant win although they try again and again
They cause such pain but they try it in vain
Brave men will not rest until with peace we are blessed
The poppies in the field will sway and we will remember them again today
