No More Snow
The snow has gone I see the tree
I watch it melt as the ice runs free
Out side it seems darker through the day
Its been so bright all along the way
Its raining now the clouds are black
I miss the snow but I don't want it back
Its not as cold as it has been
I see the grass I forgot how green
Is this the end of the big freeze
No more blankets over our knees
No more scarfs around our throats
Going around the house in hats and coats
No more slipping on the foot path
Falling on my butt to hear my friends laugh
Or is this just a little break
Before the heaven open and the skies shake
And all the heavens start to fall
Covering the earth houses and all
Burring us in snow so deep we need a
spade to dig out of the heap
But then again maybe this is the last
No more snow here in Belfast
