Poem Commentary

Written going through tough times. Still am but some of them have ceased.

Mommy Loves You

Original Written in November sometime 2009

I'm so sorry for hurting you the way I have
I remember the times that we would laugh
And we would cry too
But when I was without you
I wanted to die
So now, I get to see you
And I don't have to be blue
I thank God for you
Even when some of those times weren't true
You are My Angel
You are My Princess
You are My Star
I believe in you and who You are
And You Are My Daughter

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
