    These Feelings
    This feeling I feel inside
    I can not hide
    Of words and meanings when I think of you
    Some how someday when you see this face
    Will there be tears
    Of joy, love, fear or hate?
    A wedding one day
    "I will take you away"
    You already have: mind, body, heart, and soul
    You see my tears of pain
    Dwayne, can you see me
    Do you love me like you say you do?
    Or are you guilty of a hidden pleasure inside of you?
    These feelings I can't explain
    But the truth is, I love you
    And this is true
    So many things unexplained
    And still, be still, and sit, and hear
    These feelings, do you feel them?
    Are they unreal, to a man that is too good to be true?

    I think it's a universal fear of everyone who has been entwined within a hopeless mess of a relationship, only to find someone afterward who seems like a dream come true. "Is he/she real, or am I walking into this blind, hoping beyond hope that history will not repeat itself." You've conveyed that beautifully in this piece, and I'd be hard pressed to come across another that does it so well. Great work.

    Thank you for the wonderfully stated comment. Although, they are quite personal, these feelings, we, as poets, have learned to express one self in a formal yet hurtful way to express our ugly truths. As for myself, I am nowhere near perfect, and my poetry will never be either. Never remotely close. Thank you for the write.
